requiem

This winter has seen some sadness. Nelson Mandela, Doris Lessing, John Tavener, my close friend Barbara, and today Craig Nelson, an artist I met in Fayetteville. A big bear of a man who was kind to a newcomer and took the time to like my photographs of Facebook and Instagram. A small thing you might say, but I am grateful that he was paying attention. He will be missed.
