America!

The last leg of our epic trip.

Left Sydney 7.30am (local time), short Qantas flight to Auckland, super view as we arrived! (Must do New Zealand, next time!) Short transit stay before transferring to Air Tahiti Nui (I know... Who?!) airline was excellent and great food... For a plane!

Threw a little surprise into the bag... a transit stop in Tahiti itself! Met by musicians and and a dancer! Fab!

The only thing was when we arrived in Tahiti, having left Sydney on Thursday 12th, it was Wednesday 11th! We then boarded the plane again and arrived in Los Angeles at 9.30am back on Thursday 12th! Was our body clocks a bit of a mess!

We made our way to Grand Union Station, where we were really pleased to find out as we had booked a roomette on the train we were entitled to the first class lounge with Amtrak! Happy days! Snacks, coffee and internet! Plus a snooze opportunity!

On the train early evening, followed by dinner with a father and son from Chicago. The son was a law enforcement officer and we had a great time over dinner comparing the state of our respective countries!

Them bed a minimal amount of sleep before arriving in Flagstaff the next day!
