At Scarborough: Sand Storm.......x
The seaside can be such a wild place place in winter. Gone are the niceties of the summer months. The brightly coloured rainbow rows of beach chalets, seem to pale against the muted winter light. Winter light has its own magic, you understand. Its the difference, the change, the extreme of weather and rolling seasons.
I see it like highs and lows of life. Some times, you battle through harsh times, facing an impossibly strong headwind, a wind, so cold that it cuts through you, taking your breath away. To think that, just as you are wondering what could be any worse, then the wind sends dust balls of sand across the beach. Your forced to watch its playful movement, almost like a moving shimmer of light, passing over your feet. Its quiet and beautiful, so your forced to watch and with the watching, your face and eyes are stinging. Your sent cowering, with your back into the icy wind.
The point is, that even when your face is iced over and stinging with sand and salt, its still worth peering through it to see the shimmer on the horizon......x
