On the rise
I'm ending the year on a bread-making high. It looks good. It will hopefully taste good, or I'll have to retract the first sentence.
I was at The Kitchen for lunch today, or The Kitchen Brasserie as they're now calling themselves. Nothing seems to have changed since they were The Kitchen. The website is kitchenrestaurant.co.uk, and they sign off the Christmas message on the blackboard from The Kitchen, so I think they're confused and I'm going to stick with the original name.
Anyway, I had a lovely Thai salmon fish cake to start and 'leftover pizza' for main - pizza topped with turkey, chipolatas and cranberry sauce. Two courses for £6.95. You can't argue with value like that.
