The Best Cycle Climb in England
Done this morning in my study at home in NE Scotland, using my TACX Turbo Trainer with video on the computer. Today's ride took me over the Hardknott Pass — this is a momentary stop to take the pic near the top. The Hardknott is significant for a cyclist because some of it is above 20% and near the top it gets to 33%. Steep for a bike. It gave me, though, an hour's exercise in the warm, and memories of when we actually lived in the Lake District. Earlier this week I rode in Arizona and Norway, getting in some 60+ miles this week. I want to keep this up on the Trainer until the weather is kinder outside. Then I want the real hills in the Highlands — God and my body willing. Keeps you going…
