Industrial Decay

Thiers industrial mills have been left to slowly crumble. It's difficult to capture the scene. All along the river the factories that once produced cutlery are abandoned, now transformed by greenery growing up and over them.

It's fascinating to visit La Vallee des Usines and walk along the river and there's a very good industrial museum too. (Link is in French) It was a dreadfully wet, driech day when we were there.
