The Old Jolly Boat . . .

A very wet day and one of those winter days when it never really gets light either.

Down on the shore I took lots of photos of this little boat. She's always been my favourite, she's such a very pleasing shape. She is what is known as a Jolly Boat, used to ferry crew/supplies etc between a bigger boat and the shore. Sad to see her gradually falling apart as the weather and seasons take their toll . . .

This boat was taken by the last gales. All that is left is iron work strewn along the beach and a few huge lengths of timber . . .
