Trees at Grasmere

I've walked this route many times - along the road rising above the lake at Grasmere and then on to Elterwater and beyond.

I've taken this shot a few times, I like the way the lake creates a backdrop to the trees, and the fence line at the bottom of the picture.

I have one version that I converted to black and white and made as a print, my daughter has a copy and I have a copy in our house in Grasmere.

What was really surprising was when I look at this shot on my ipad alongside the B&W print is the exact placement of the composition, It's almost identical - it could not have been closer if I had done it deliberately. Is this visual memory taking me back to the exact same shot that looks 'right' to my brain ?
