I think that this is the plant we used to call "slangbos" and it was much sought after when we were camping in the mountains after a day's hiking as it made the softest bedding.(ah! the good old days!)
On our walk this afternoon we remembered friend CR wanting to impress his lady climbed the rock face to collect the largest plant and held it aloft and then with a woop sent it rolling down towards us. Much laughter.
