Christmas walk 2

We decided to walk Eddie (small white dog, in shot) and Tess (Not).

They had never 'met' because they are both antisocial. Neither knows what to do with other dogs, Eddie wants to fight and Tess wants to run away.

We made a tactical error and tried to introduce them before the walk.

It didn't go well. They fought and if Eddie hadn't been muzzled there would have been vet's bills and recriminations.

All that really happened was a huge amount of stress to both dogs and their handlers.

We walked on, keeping them apart, bringing them together just out of nipping range until they just about tolerated it.

By the end of 5 miles they were quiet enough to have turkey scraps from the same hand.

They are still not friends.
