Stranded seal

Blakeney, north Norfolk coast

Various largish pools remain after the tide has gone out. This seal pup was slow about keeping up with the retreating sea and hopefully can re-join its colony in a few hours. I did not see any signs of fish in the water so our seal will start to get hungry.

Do you think the face conveys what it might be thinking - sad bewilderment possibly?
