Oh. My. Hellebores!

Was out refilling bird feeders this morning when I noticed splashes of yellow and terracotta. Wallflowers! Grabbed the camera and went for a prowl. The garden is full of green nibs pushing up through the leaf litter - snowdrops and spring snowflakes ready to spring into action!

Then I noticed that the lilac is beginning to send out green leafbuds (and suckers, which are a whole other story) so a quick check of the hellebores, and yes, there they are!!

Turns out there's lots going on in the garden :-).
