Beautiful Sunset

And this was the tail end of the show too. I could see a spectacular sunset coming but I couldn’t get to it because I was without a vehicle (it was having its tires rotated). As soon as I got the car back I raced (within the speed limit of course) down the hill to the bay but I could see the colors fading as I drove and by the time I got to a vantage point, things had quieted down considerably. It was still a pretty awesome sunset. It looked like something was whipping up the clouds even though the wind wasn’t blowing.

Earlier in the day I took a bunch of pictures of Snuffy. He’s such a ham that he actually poses for me. He reminds me of those model shoots where the photographer is saying “that’s it baby, – work it, work it”, because he slithers around and changes poses just like models do. I got a couple great, but decidedly uninteresting, close-ups of his nostrils and one of his left ear. As much as I love the little guy even I couldn’t work up enough excitement over those to post them.

After that, I stalked Lizzie. She has the most unusual habit of curling her back toes up when she sleeps and folding her front paws into little fists. The only way I can get a picture of her doing this is to stand over her and aim down. Sadly, I believe she views her sleeping posture as quite private and she usually moves before I can get positioned correctly. I’ll keep at it though. It’s worth recording for posterity.
