BABY, IT'S COLD OUTSIDE!

For ‘Squirrel Blip Friday’ I snapped this cutie showing off her lovely, thick fur coat. She doesn’t appear to be quite ready for the photo shoot with that seed in her front teeth. (So glad she posed in front of the boxwood to give some color to the picture.) In this series of shots, there’s another of this same squirrel that I’d call “Freezing & Shivering”. (It’s on Flickr.)

We’re expecting a heat wave - sort of! It should be a bit above freezing, but only for the two weekend days. The good news is that will thaw most of the ice that is weighing down the tree limbs. The bad news is it's expected to become bitter cold starting Monday with a high of 13 F (-10.5 C.) This is proving to be a very harsh winter!
