Ice Storm 2013. Ice and destruction.

Linda took this from the car as I drove on a sideroad between Aurora and King City on our way to Oakville, today. Everything is covered in thick ice and a dusting of fluffy snow, and, despite the destruction it wrought, it looked stunningly beautiful. Everywhere you looked were broken branches, broken trunks, debris here, debris there, severely-bent trees, and collapsed bushes. In Toronto a friend is among the 100,000 people still without electricity or heat for a sixth day. This, to say the least, was a bad one - a very bad one.
