Boxing Day Boxing Day

I have taken more photos of this view - or variations on - than any other.

Sometimes I'm a little bit higher or a bit lower; sometimes a bit more lefterer, or a little bit more righterer.

No two days are ever completely the same though and I'm not bored - especially when I'm getting my butt kicked by the weather and it's a major achievement just to stand still with a camera in my hands.

It looks calm and bright in the pic but it wasn't. It was a brief spell of bright on a very windy day after an extremely windy night.
I heard the wind trying to squeeze itself in through gaps in the house all night in a desperate menacing way last night. I've never heard anything like it. I kept having to wake myself up enough to think about what was happening.

My back has got a little bit better every day this week and I'm beginning to feel more comfortable. The only thing that hurts now is going up hill or up stairs.
Today we went to Sainsburys and I spent my Nectar points on bedding and a cast iron casserole dish - things that were all also in the sale. Win, win.

We still have turkey.

I'm not bored yet.
