Christmas Eve

Hooray it's Christmas Eve.

We spent the morning sorting and tidying and delivering presents and cards. the mini Pinks checked their PNP messages from Father Christmas. And then at 3.30 headed up to Church for the Crib service. this year, both of the mini pinks dressed as stars. I helped to retell the nativity story with our priest Simon and his son. It was a lovely service and a good reminder of the reason for the season. After church, Grandma came home with us for tea, and the mini pinks had theirs baths and opened their Christmas eve parcel. The parcel had new PJs for each of them and a new Christmas book each. Grandma read their new books to them, and it was lovely to watch. Although I'm not sure what Grandma thought of the "Dinosaur that Pooped Christmas"!
The mini pinks hung up their stockings and left a mince pie, a carrot and a mug of milk for Father Christmas and his reindeer. Checked the Norad Santa Tracker. And then went to bed. Although Master Pink was still awake at10pm. Father Christmas had to do a few laps of the block before delivering to our house!
I went to the midnight service at Church with my next door neighbour and her mum. I haven't been to one since before Master Pink was born so it was a lovely change and really refreshing to be still and listen to the word at the end of an incredibly busy few weeks. I'm looking forward to tomorrow and spending time with my family. Enjoy Christmas everyone.xx
