A shining light

Our drive to Fountains Abbey for the Boxing Day Carol Service this morning was perfect.
The sky was blue, and although it was only 1c the sun shone on the frosty fields, making them glisten, and the countryside looked magical.

We met up with our walking club friends for the service, and then did the seven bridges walk through Studley Royal and the deer park.

Afterwards off to our friends for a lovely evening of delicious food, plenty of wine, and good company.
( Glad we stayed over!)

I loved the way the sun was shining through the arched window on to the band.
