Fast Gliding Water

We had more wind and rain last night but nothing as bad as earlier in the week. After breakfast Mum and I went for a walk down to the River Nene. The wind blew so strongly over the open fields that we could hardly hear each other speak. The river was flowing rapidly with deep swirling currents. A pair of swans passed by quickly as they were whisked along by the fast water. There were chinks of sunshine through the clouds. It was good to get in and have a hot cup of tea!
