Redwing
We spent Boxing Day at home doing very little; roast rack of lamb for lunch with all the usual vegetables and accompaniments and once again, Christmas pudding at tea-time.
Although I took some pictures, which were better than this, I decided to use this one of what I think is a Redwing. There were large numbers of Redwings, easily identified by the red on their wing, on this tree eating the berries, but this one is the best of the many Redwing shots I took. A Redwing is very similar to and related to the thrush family and I usually only see them in my garden during November and December.
