A very merry xmas
What a brilliant Xmas. Started off with a lovely visit from Sam's sister, her other other and her gorgeous wee boy. She reckons she's going to dress him up every Xmas until he's 15. So cute.
A drive to Glasgow to spend the rest of Xmas with my delightful family. Dad was on excellent form. I'd been warned last week that he wasn't getting a tree and had a bit a bit of a go at him "you can't have us all over to Glasgow and not have a tree!". So, when we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised to see that he'd made a tree out of cardboard! All covered in lights. I was quite impressed. The even bigger surprise came when I was sent upstairs to make the beds, came down, and he'd swapped it for a real tree that he'd hidden out the back! Apparently Sam and I had spoiled his fun a bit by responding so well to the cardboard one!
My brother and his fiancee then arrived. Presents, rib of beef roast, and a cheese board which I could only look at.
The day was polished off with a visit from Rhona and Alan. Lots of chat, laughter and wine (for them). I managed to stay up chatting with Dad and Sam til well past 2am!
