Santa Cruz Boardwalk

After staying the night in Santa Cruz we headed off to explore the famous boardwalk, used as a film location for the 80s cult film classic, 'The Lost Boys'! Opened in 1907 it is the oldest surviving amusement park on the West Coast. Closed for business at this time of year but you can still wander around, which is really cool when it's quiet and hardly anyone about. For some of you that know the film well, you will remember the scene of Michael and the Vampires hanging off the bottom of a rail road bridge. We were lucky enough to walk across that very same bridge to get to the eerie amusement park.
