The Day After Christmas
Today is Boxing Day, a day to shop and eat leftovers. I avoided the shopping. I think I enjoy things like turkey and other left-overs more on Boxing Day when the pace is somewhat slower. And, I had the time to enjoy and take photos of the beautiful poinsettia from our son and his wife.
When I checked the origin of Boxing Day, this is what Wiki says - "Boxing Day is traditionally the day following Christmas Day, when servants and tradesmen would receive gifts, known as a "Christmas box", from their bosses or employers." Somehow, I think we've strayed a bit from this original meaning!
