Another lovely, laid back day.

Left overs for lunch, High Society on the telly, Belgian chocs to munch. Bliss :)

Made Nigel Slater's Perky Turkey for dinner 2nd year in a row so it's a tradition now :)) then made a batch of mega oat cookies. Wrapped them to take to Ele's tomorrow as gifts, where we will have our second Christmas Day and a belated celebration of Ele's birthday (which was today).

Going back to yesterday's fire shennanigans, the lounge still honks of smoke but I am relieved to report that Santa is not stuck up our chimney.....and neither is anything else. It's clean as a whistle. There's a cap thing above the chimney pot to stop birds falling down the chimney (although there is a gap all around to let smoke out) but we are wondering if that's the cause of the problem.

In other news, despite having a bumper Christmas haul, Alan is only interested in and can't stop smiling at his new Tess Daly poster!
