The Fish Shop

It comes to all parents that there will be a pet request at some time. Ours was easy "I want a fish". Having had fish tanks for years as a boy and an adult this was one request that could be easily dealt with. So a tank has been set up, the water conditioned and off we went to buy our first fish. Not these bad boys though he did like the look of them, he was eventually steered toward four zebra danios, far more manageable. As we have to let the water's ammonia cycle get in balance and let the helpful bacteria build up we'll be back for some more on successive weekends. Might sound complicated (not for a trained chemist though!!) but still a damned site easier than a puppy or a pony.

I do like a tropical fish tank. Win win all round I reckon.
