Oakmoss Lichen

Mother Flowerpower came over for lunch today and then the three of us went for a lovely muddy walk. Part of the walk took us through an oak wood and Sister Flowerpower spotted this rather interesting lichen that she thought would be blipworthy. She was right. I think it looks a bit like coral. She has just googled the lichen and we have discovered that it's compounds are used in perfumes.

We thoroughly enjoyed Downton last night. Yet again Maggie Smith had all the best lines! Tonight we are looking forward to Death Comes to Pemberley.
