Frosty morning

It was a bright morning with a hard frost on the lawns. This image of the single oak leaf looked quite pleasant to my eye when I took it, but just lacked something when I processed it in colour. The lawn, which is rich in moss, competed with the spiky frost crystals. A different lens might have done the job better too. I like it in mono and I've given the hint of dodging around the edges.

Slow start to the day. Then lunch at Jenny and Dennis' house with their daughter Kate. We love being in their company - and the food was good too.

Home for a quiet evening.
