Cross-eyed

Was it the impending christian festival which somehow directed my focus to this cross, which somehow I'd never noticed on my regular circular walk around the cathedral near me?

It's a conundrum. I'm not religion- inclined in any way, and I can't abide the conspicuous consumption which surrounds so much of Christmas, yet I like this time of year

For me it's a wonderful opportunity to spend time with loved ones, friends, family or both, and take time out to appreciate the important things in life.
