It seems the benefits of sitting on one of the famous Petrospheres of St Ives are happy ones judging by this reaction from Sarah.

The real test though comes when she has to lift it above her head and retain the smile. I'm sure she can do it, but not today - it's something you have to build up to.

I think this was one of the Amusements for Young Ladies in Victorian times.
