You call this a vacation??

Four days in survival mode is enough to make even Blipbear and Kiwi want to move on!!!
They were game for everything, though. Blipbear helped pull the sled filled with wood for our woodburner, and Kiwi held the flashlight when Al had to fill the generator with oil and gas. They huddled around the woodburner every night and read stories with us by candlelight, grateful that the refrigerator was at least working to keep all of their food fresh!
Both of them helped carry the heavy 5 gallon water jugs we brought from our daughter's house, and they both snuggled under the pile of quilts with us every night!
Christmas morning found all of us exhausted, but glad to have each other, and Blipbear was thrilled to receive his new pin for his hat....Old Mackinac Lighthouse!! Since I live in Michigan and love lighthouses, I thought it would be an appropriate gift to send with him!

Our power is on HOORAY! but our normal internet is still down, so I will try to catch up with everyone in the next few days...thank you for the love, stars and hearts you've sent us while we were scrambling to keep things sane!!

This photo is Blipbear and Kiwi whispering that they really are tired of this Michigan ice and snow, and they are waiting for someone to invite them on their next adventure!! If you are next in line, say the word!! They should be ready to travel before the New Year!!!
