a mother's love

today, being it would be my mother's birthday, I knew I would need to blip about her.
She died 3 1/2 years ago, not quite making it to her 90th birthday.
Her name was Violet, hence she received a guzillion things with violets on them from her 14 children.
We did crossword puzzles together sometimes. She could finish mine; I could finish hers. We took the train once from Oregon to Southern California, talking for almost 25 hours straight while we work puzzles.
Once upon a time, she crocheted a blanket for each of us...then made second ones because she thought the first ones weren't big enough. She also crocheted white blankets for most of the newborn grandchildren and great-grandchildren...that's a lot of blankets and a lot of love!
I miss her.
