Christmas Lunch

After a timely awakening and opening of presents we were ready and able to affront the world. We walked down to the village to the local bar. We ordered a bottle of Prosecco which came with a spuntino of tasty nibbles.

Following the aperitivo at the bar we went to the restaurant in the main square for lunch. This was five or six courses on a sea food theme, with sea bass as the main course.

It has been heavy rain all day so we are quite damp by the time we get back to the apartment. Before long everybody is asleep and I remain as the only one of the four of us still awake.

Later on perhaps there will be a slice of pandoro (Italian cake) with a glass of Spumante.
