Menaggio again

Today we took a walk down to the village. By chance while we were walking along the the lake front we saw the hydrofoil coming in. On an impulse we decided to go on board and head over to Menaggio.

Lunch in a pizzeria and a walk around the town. Not too much shopping as far as I remember. Being too lazy to wander over to the bus stop to see when we could get a bus back to Lenno we headed into a bar and got them to call a taxi for us.

The picture shows the church in the via Calvi with some of the Christmas decorations around the church. At the Red Cross station there was an ambulance decorated with a nativity scene and with a Santa Claus at the wheel. This would have been my alternative blip. As the ambulance station was completely blocked off by Christmas stalls they had parked the ambulances in a nearby car park.
