Sharing the Christmas eve rice pudding with a friend. There's an almond hidden in there and the saying goes the one who gets it receives good luck. Though in my childhood they said the one who gets it, gets married first - lucky or not!

This is a different year because I'm not there making the Christmas Eve rice pudding for my mom or preparing for her the joulusauna (Christmas sauna, also a tradition), like I did the previous years. Neither am I visiting my dad who passed away this year. Thinking of my family far away.
