The beholder's eye

'twas the night before Christmas.........

Ever since my first girlie Charlii was born 33 years ago this morning I have read the poem 'The night before Christmas' to my children, and now to my 8 wonderful grandchildren.
As a family we love making new traditions, we always have a birthday party at our house for Charlii on Christmas eve, and a couple of years ago Charlii started a new tradition of buying all the grandchildren (her Children, nieces and nephews) a onsie for Christmas, and giving it to them on at the party so they can wear it while I read them 'The night before Christmas'
This year Ethie was a monkey, Cleo a Giraffe, Willow a Bunny, Rosie a ladybird, Dylan starwars, Mylah a cat, Archie a lion and little Tallula a dinosaur. - quite a zoo!!
So, today's blip is all the grandchilren in their onsies sitting by the fire next to my tree waiting patiently for me to read to them.
I know it is a bit blurry, and not the best pic, but when I tried using flash it totally spoiled the atmosphere........only 1 more sleep to go.....if I ever get the wrapping done.
On another note, the flooding round here is dreadful, HUGE puddles with abandoned cars...and the wind.........I am not looking forward to Friday if it is going to be a repeat performance!
