So it's Monday in Manchester, and the sun has been burning fiercely - it was 23 degrees at 9:30 this morning. I was beginning to regret wearing a vest.

However in the office, its like a fridge, and by 11 o'clock, I was glad I bought a jumper.

I believe that when you are recovering from an ilness, you're supposed to keep warm and well ventilated; so with this office being freezing and hermetically sealed, it was a good thing for my health that I frequently went outside in the sun for a ciggie break.

I don't need to tell you that I went down to the duckpond again - and tonight, I'm going back to the house to do two weeks' washing-up.

Such joy.
