Almost McBusted!

Two visitors today. Alan's friend Andrew was coming over in the afternoon and staying for tea and my stepdad John was coming for tea and staying over.

Alan and Andrew had an afternoon of Christmas music and much hilarity. For Christmas, we have bought Andrew a ticket to see McBusted when they come to Glasgow in April and Andrew's mum has bought the same for Alan but it's a surprise and neither of them know anything about it. Andrew though, is desperate to get a ticket and has been hounding his mum for ages. She keeps fobbing him off with excuses and telling him it's sold out. She had pre-warned us that he would ask to go online and check, as he's desperate for him and Alan to get tickets so they can see them together!

Poor David managed to come up with a million different delaying tactics / excuses not to go online till eventually he came up with the genius excuse that the concert falls during the school Easter holidays and we might be away on holiday that week so Alan wont be able to go. Andrew being the good friend that he is, doesn't want to go without Alan, so reluctantly accepted this. Wee scone. Would love to see his face on Christmas morning when her realises he does have a ticket. His mum says she'll record him opening the pressie! :D

Snowed on and off for most of the day so we were glad to be cosy inside. Dinner, good telly and a wee Bailey's rounded off the night perfectly.

David bought me these tulips and since we are now passed the shortest day, they are a nice little reminder that Spring is just around the corner she said hopefully ;))
