Muttley's Musings

Storage Warehouse

I visited the National Railway Museum in York today with my parents to look at the exhibition of photos from the past couple of years of Landscape Photographer of the Year competition which had been sponsored by Network Rail, so there was a category for showing the railway in the landscape. There were some very different and interesting interpretations on this theme.

We also had a look around the museum. In a scene slightly reminiscent of the closing scenes of Indian Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, here is a picture of the amazing store room at the National Railway Museum in York, where they have an amazing array of artefacts and exhibits ranging from model trains, uniforms, crockery, furniture, station names, engine names, sculptures and oh the platform 9 3/4 sign from Kings Cross where the Hogwarts Express departs from. I thought that this would make an interesting blip, and it shows a slightly different view of the museum, it's not all about the trains themselves.
