Parenting failures

My one year old likes to climb. She will climb anything so I keep an eye on anything remotely climbable normally. We are mid move and the cupboards just were not on my radar as something climbable. I removed her three times before pausing to take a picture; strangely once I took her picture she stopped doing it.
Following the logic of she will stop doing dangerous things if I take her picture I should therefore have lots of pictures of her doing death defying things! Unfortunately I used to work in health and safety so it's unlikely.
If I did though just think of the worries I could stop before she hit teen years - for example place bottle of alcohol in her hand quick snap of a photo and hey presto no worrying about her going out and drinking! It may stunt her experiencing life though so I guess I had better stick to normal methods of teaching.
