Yes...

So as I said before in the last entry, I lost two jobs (well technically I lost only one, it's just that my other "job" doesn't pay us monetarily anymore). Today I got an email from boss that said the arts and humanities schools have closed down the place where I worked.

In total, that meant over 10 people were laid off, including me. My boss was set to retire any way so he wasn't as hard hit but it's still kind of hard to fathom that us in the college, which we think as insular and a sort of incubator for us chicks just learning how to stretch our wings, are not safe from this recession.

But I like this picture which is taken by my apartment. I like how it speaks to me of a better place, of a place that exists amidst all this sadness and just reminds me that there are still good things in the bad and a silver lining to every cloud.
