Sorting

As it is with these things it got slightly worse before it got better, mainly when the room above was emptied of stuff, the carpet pulled back and the moving forced a load of water through the ceiling rose, into a rather gorgeous light, thankfully we had the electrics off, and the light is saved after a good clean

Our man that can came and replaced the two pieces of copper pipe that had screws through them, and had finally eroded. No one is taking actual responsibility for this, but I have my suspicions.

Anyway leak fixed, a wet vac sucked out three buckets of water from the carpet and now a dehumidifier and two industrial heaters are whirring away.

Libbie has decided she prefers the sofas like this, as they make a great slide.
Then she was a bit concerned as this is the room with the fireplace and will Santa be put off by the mouldy smell and not come.
I have reassured her I will be doing my best tomorrow with the Febreeze, and a sniff of a mince pie should tempt him in (well a Kipling Festive Bake, I don't like mince pies).

I'll be on this right after I've taken my macbook to have the screen replaced, which I smashed by dropping a remote control on it.
