COLD STEEL DAWN

Hadn't planned on standing on the beach this morning.
However, I was awake and made the mistake
of looking out of the window.
There was a hint of red on the horizon.
A light pink purple under glow to the clouds.
Golden Dawn, I thought
and raced down to the Don Mouth
where the River Don meets the North sea..
Well as you can see it never matured.
Instead, we had a watery cold steel dawn
Earth Stopped Cold at Dawn.
with the emphasis on cold.
Still the tide was still half out and the reflections were good.
Only two sleeps to go.
