A Relationship With Food

The time has arrived, and I'm finally in Guernsey for Christmas with my Dad. It was touch and go if I'd even make it for awhile - the storm I'd feared flying through really did almost overturn my plane as we were landing. But of course the pilots on the run to the Channel Islands have a pretty good idea how to handle these storms, so even though we touched down half way down the runway it all turned out fine!

Seeing Dad again has been great, and of course the first thing we did was go out to eat! Our evening meal was at a childhood favourite of mine - La Piazza. The proprietor has changed but the food has remained exquisite (the photo is of skate with peppercorns and an orange sauce). We've always related disproportionately well through food, and this experience was no exception (I have it on Vine too). Thank goodness the wingtip didn't hit the ground after all!
