By Appointment

This bottle of whisky was found about 30 years ago, hiding in my Aunty Nellie's wardrobe when were were clearing her house after she had died. She was not a drinker, I only ever remember her having a small sherry at Christmas.
The seal on this bottle is unbroken and bears the by appointment crest for the late King George V. There is no label on the bottle, perhaps an austerity measure during WW11.
I have never seen Scotch Whisky with this type of cap, it may have been for export as my uncle was a merchant seaman all his working life. He could have bought it whilst abroad.
The bottle will remain unopened as a memento, along with This which she made!
