Angry Birds

After a morning of shopping, chores and wrapping presents, we took a trip out to Rheged in the afternoon. Mum, Dad and Grannie stayed drinking coffee with some blippers whilst The Boy and I took a wander around the little shops.

In Penrith instead of their traditional "Lights Night" (think late night opening, rowdy teenagers and noisy rides) they now have a "Winter Droving" where giant puppet lanterns of animals are paraded through the town. We missed the event itself but the animals are now stored displayed at Rheged. These angry geese guard the coffee shop below.
