Old Friends

The holidays bring the visits with old friends, in this case two former students, brothers Will and Ross, and their father Mike. Will and Ross were two of my highest achievers, and their collegiate history bears that out. Will, sporting the Harvard sweatshirt as he harasses his dad, is currently in his first term at Harvard Law after graduating from Duke. Ross graduated in May from Washington University in St. Louis, and recently learned of his admittance into medical school in Portland's Oregon Health and Science University. Ross was my yearbook editor for two years, and we have stayed in close contact ever since. While both of these young men are smart off the charts, they remain grounded and easy to talk to. Mike shares the same birth year as yours truly, and celebrated his 60th birthday yesterday. It is always entertaining, a visit at this household, as this moment of levity between Will and father Mike attests.
