Name the Movie Hero

Die Hard seems to be receiving some kind of post-modern reassessment as a classic Christmas movie; I guess the pundits are done with more obvious examples like It's a Wonderful Life. Our little boy has no idea about either films, but was wanting to get a last burst of running around and piggy-back rides before bedtime.
