Urban Decay
I love the way light bounces around Manchester - plate glass dazzles, tiles shine and brick reflects a warmth missing in the biting December wind.
The Lowry exhibition in Salford was fabulous: it was lovely to see the iconic pictures which seem much less cartoon-like (and sometimes quite sinister) in real life, but it was his seascapes which blew me away.
I can't remember the last time I was so taken with a city.
(I'm not sure exactly where this is - somewhere between Canal Street and Chinatown: the map location is a bit of a guess)
