DOH A DEER

A lovely friend made these for us two years ago. It's always a special moment when they fly down from the loft and land on our mantelpiece.

Reading a factual book about early people to the VIP. He was a bit sad about the hunter gatherers catching reindeer for food and wondered what would happen if Santa's reindeer got eaten. It's a confusing world for weans, eh. We tell him zombies and ghosts are not real, cos he is very scared by all of that stuff. We tell him that dinosaurs were real but never at the same time as people. We answer his questions about Santa with a coy smile hoping he realises that he's not real but it's OK still to pretend he is, even when he comes to your nursery and wears glasses that look like a real person's glasses.

Ho, ho, ho. He's very bright and I'm sure he will work it all out himself.
