Sunday Solstice Sky

A cold and watery sky for celebration of the mid-winter festival. I for one am giving thanks that the shortest day has passed and the glory of spring is on the horizon. I was out looking for mistletoe in the woods but to no avail as it is seldom found this far north and even my favourite crab apple trees were bereft. These cloud purples were not the angry bruised hues of storm clouds but a gentle cleansing lavender and I felt refreshed.
